Welcome!

Greetings,

Welcome to ChordSheet! Thank you for purchasing the finest music presentation software for Android. This software will replace all your old-fashioned paper chord sheets with beautifully formatted screens that are always up-to-date because they can be instantly edited and synch- ronized with everybody in your band.

ChordSheet has created a directory in your Android phone for the storage of songsheets. Different versions of Android may put this directory in different places, but it is often:

D:\Android\data\com.qynx.chordsheet\files

ChordSheet displays a dialog box that shows the location of this directory. It has populated the directory with these files to help get you started. Please copy your ChordPro formatted songs into this directory. If you uninstall or update ChordSheet, Android may delete this directory, so make sure to save your songs first.

NOTE: If this directory is not visible through the USB connection to your computer, please reboot your phone or tablet by turning it completely off and back on again.

We highly recommend the FolderSync app to sync your local ChordPro songs with your cloud storage. FolderSync currently supports multiple SkyDrive, Dropbox, SugarSync, Ubuntu One, Box.net, LiveDrive, HiDrive, NetDocuments, Amazon S3, FTP, FTPS, SFTP, WebDAV or windows share (Samba/CIFS) accounts, and support for more platforms are planned. No other app boasts as good or flexible two-way sync as FolderSync. By using this helper app, ChordSheet can stay focused like a laser beam on editing and displaying chord sheets.

If you are new to the ChordPro format, then you are going to have to start collecting songs. The best place to start is:

www.chordie.com <– index of 1000s songs

When you find a song you want to import, click the “chopro” format option in the toolbar on the far right of the screen. Then copy-and-paste into a text file or the builtin editor. This is easier than it sounds, but you are going to be frustrated with how sloppy people are with chord placement. A chord change in the middle of word usually happens at the same place you would hyphenate it.
