Every app has a purpose and a motivation. This app is intended to replace paper chord sheets carried by musicians. The chordpro format was chosen as the basic underlying file because it can be typed in or edited easily by anyone. This may require some work, but it’s trivial compared to updating paper copies of music. There are PC/MAC software to make the job easier.
